Fiori di Zucca ripieni

Kindheitserinnerungen..... zurueck, zu damals, als ich zum ersten Mal Fiori di Zucca ass.

Das war ein heisser Sommer in Italien, im Elternhaus meiner Mutter. Im Garten bluehten die Zucchiniblumen und meine Mutter schnitt die einfach ab. Ich war entsetzt, denn ich wusste, so gab es keine Zucchini. Aber meine Mutter beruhigte mich und meinte, wir machen etwas ganz besonders Gutes daraus, lass dich ueberraschen. 

Die Ueberraschung gelang! 

Seither versuche ich dauernd solche Blueten zu erhalten, aber in Asien ist das sehr schwierig oder gar unbezahlbar. 
Jetzt aber, hier in Europa, haben wir sie auf dem Markt gefunden und ich habe sie gefuellt und gebacken.... es ist sicherlich kein Wunder, dass keine uebrig geblieben ist! Meine Schwester hat mitgeholfen, sie zu vertilgen und wir haben in Erinnerungen geschwelgt!

Die Blueten gibt es in 2 Varianten, die Weiblichen und die Maennlichen. Die Weiblichen haben eine kleine Zucchini dran, an der Bluete, die Maennlichen nicht. Ich habe die Maennlichen gewaehlt.

Die Fiori di Zucca muss man leicht und sorgfaeltig abspritzen und man muss die Spitzen an den Bluetenstengeln abknicken.

Fuellung fuer ca 10 Blueten:
100 g Frischkaese
100 g Ricotta
100 g Kraeuterkaese
Pfeffer
Paprika
Chilipulver
1 Ei
1/2 Bund Petersilie
etwas Oregano
50 g geriebenen Parmesan

alle Zutaten gut vermischen und in einen Spritzbeutel fuellen.

Mit dem Spritzbeutel die Blumen fuellen, dann die Bluetenspitzen oben einfalten und in die Fuellung druecken.


Die Blueten in eine gefettete Glasschahle legen und im Ofen bei 180 C Grad ca 20-30 Minuten uberbacken. Heiss servieren!

Fiori di Zucca ripieni ~ Filled Zucchini Flowers


Childhood memories.... back to my first time eating Fiori di Zucca.

It was a hot summer in Italy, at my mothers family home. She cut the flowers of the zucchini plants in their garden and I was shocked. Now the plants will not be able to make zucchini. But my mother reassured me that we will eat something really special. 

And special it was!


Since then I was trying to find the flowers, but in Asia they are almost nonexistent or so very expensive.

But now, on my holiday in Europe I found them on the market. I filled and baked them ... and it is no wonder, that there were no leftovers! My sister helped to get rid of them and we were wallowing in memories.


There are two different flowers, the female and the male. The female one has a little zucchini at the end of the flower, the male one doesn't. I used the male flower.

 First you have to wash the flowers very carefully and remove the pointy pieces at the end of the flowers. 

For the filling:
100 g Cream Cheese
100 g Ricotta
100 g Herb Cream Cheese
Pepper

Paprika
Chili
1 Egg
1/2 bunch Parsley
some Oregano
50 g grated Parmesan

mix all ingredients together and fill into a piping-bag.
Then pipe some of this into the flowers and fold the tips over to close the flower. 


Put them into a greased ovenproof dish and bake at 180 C for 20-30 minutes. Serve hot.

Oh ist das ein gutes Rezept mit dieser würzigen Füllung, ganz super, danke. Wenn mein Blüten endlich mal was werden muss ich das sofort probieren.
